You can do that through all of the Microsoft Office 365 apps you can get on Google Play. But you will need to get Google Play downloaded FIRST by following either of the 2 options below:

Before you download the apk files for Google Play, you need to make sure that your tablet is set to receive apps from unknown sources: Go to Settings --> Security & Privacy --> Apps from Unknown Sources
(swipe to the right to turn on) --> Press Ok.

• Also, VERY IMPORTANT: make sure that after you have downloaded all 4 or so of the APK files in order and after you have installed them onto the Kindle Fire tablet, you must POWER OFF the device and then RESTART

the device so that the Google Play app will sync up with the device properly. If you do not do that, then the app will not work at all.

After you have restarted the device, then you will need to register your Google account onto the Google Play app. And then you can enjoy Google Play!

2-I haven't tried using amazon fire tablet, I believe I need to have a subscription with prime in order to use it? 

No, you don't need to have a Prime subscription. The Prime subscription does include free streaming video with enough titles to rival Netflix, and of course you can also buy or rent other content. Amazon Kindle of course works without a Prime subscription. It was kind of a good question though, because I can see how the Amazon pages emphasize Prime over and over. But no, it's not required to buy the device or use it. The most skeletal connection you can have would be to open a non-credit card Amazon account, buy this with gift cards purchased from 7-11 etc., and just use it as a tablet. That's in fact what I insist my kids do, since even with parental controls I don't feel like putting a purchasing tool like a Fire Tablet in their wastral little hands. 

3-What apps are on the amazon store for Fire HD 8 Tablet ?
